A 2006 Ford GT, like this one, just now sold at Barrett-Jackson Auction for $250,000. It had less than 3K miles on the odometer. Tungsten Grey with silver stripes. My favoritest color.

such sad sigh. My heart forever longs. I am too broke.

Plot twist: I was the buyer, and I bought it for $kay.
If only.

That actually makes me sad. I hate seeing cars like that not get driven. That car should be like Rowan Atkinson's McLaren. It should be driven and driven some more. That is what is was made for.

I know this is going to sound weird but wait about 15 more years and these will become as cheap as they are ever going to be. Buy a slightly broken example and you will bring it back to loving perfection.

Around 500 miles per year. I just don't see the joy in that.

Beautiful combination.

Yes I'm rounding up to make it not seem so sad.

I love you for that thought.

I agree with you 1000%.......

I don't think they will ever become cheap. But I can hope. :D
![]() 01/18/2014 at 22:09 |

Indeed! They were built to be driven.

If I have one lament about not being rich it's that I can't go broke giving it all away. True story.

It just does it for me.

One of these days, one of us is going to strike it rich and buy her a GT.

In Gulf colors.

Apparently they were built to be parked.

I had an instructor that was a regional manager for Ford for about 30 years. Ford gave him one just like this when he retired. He put around the same miles on it (weekend cruiser). He also sold it for around $220k ish
Don't worry $kay, one day i'll buy this same color Ford GT.......

I may but certain folks here seemed to have slipped through the troll gate. Later.

So they've started to appreciate in value? Weren't they were selling below $200k a couple years ago?

My mustang shares a color with the GT? Cool. Maybe I should get silver stripes...

Yes not cheap but relatively cheap compared to now or when they achieve classic status. Kinda like how 70''s 80's ferrari's are at the moment. Achievable if you really plan for it Skay.

I think the low mileage on this one might have brought the price up.
![]() 01/19/2014 at 08:59 |

I love that color, and I think the silver stripes enhance it.

You're probably right. Anyways, here's a couple pics of my boss's GT for your time.
